Responsibilities

You will have an opportunity to… 

  • The candidate would need to work in a fully functional Agile program
  • Would need to learn, understand and be a part of a strong DevEx and DevOps process.
  • The successful candidate will directly support the end-to-end program collaborating with the IT Program Manager and internal business teams.
  • The candidate will be accountable to work with external vendors, internal development teams and internal business analysts.

Qualifications

Must Have:

Training/Education

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science
  • Equivalent experience and / or education
  • 8+ years relevant professional experience

Technology

  • Experience maintaining and supporting solutions in a Cloud based environment (GCP or AWS)
  • Experience working with various monitoring tools.
  • Ensure monitoring and self-healing strategies are implemented and maintained to proactively prevent production incidents.
  • Perform root cause analysis of production issues
  • Design and manage on call and escalation processes
  • Participate in design reviews and production reviews for new features, products, or pieces of infrastructure
  • Designing and implementing ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana) stack, Prometheus and Grafana solutions for monitoring and alerting.
  • Debug production issues across services and levels of the stack
  • Establish KPIs to demonstrate maturity, efficiency, and value to our business partners
  • Works as an integral part of the DevOps team with complimentary skills and common goals
  • L3 Support experience is an asset.
  • Work to create a Release management process, help with Out-of-business-hour deployments, and support (Rotation with team members)
  • Familiar and comfortable with agile development techniques.

Skills

  • Must be able to effectively interact with stakeholders, end users, business analysts, and technical resources to gather requirements and prepare design specifications
  • Excellent ability to articulate and document technical concepts to non-technical audience
  • Strong troubleshooting skills (ability to uncover trouble rapidly and provide resolution)
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, challenging environment where decisions you make will have a large process impact
  • Passionate about solving challenges by leveraging technology solutions
  • Bilingualism is an asset (English / French)
  • Proven leadership and organization skills
