Overview

Manager, Facilities

 

Are you someone who can ensure that facilities are well maintained and conduct proactive maintenance?  

Can you manage to upkeep equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards?  

 

Are you well versed in facilities management practices?   

 

Your role as the Facilities Manager also includes overseeing many different aspects of the company’s operations, including the maintenance of the site, the cleanliness of the Quantrics offices, the management of contractors and vendors, and new ways of lowering the company’s operating costs.

Responsibilities

You will have an opportunity to… 

  • Maintain the building, premises, and any on-site equipment.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the property and compliance with code requirements.
  • Ensure that the space in the site is used efficiently.
  • Negotiate with vendors or contractors ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Actively Assess sourcing bids from different providers to maximize company budget.
  • Search for more cost-effective methods of managing the business premises.
  • Set budgets for all expenditures and ensuring compliance with said budget.
  • Ensure every expenditure creates a more efficient environment.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of contractors.
  • Respond actively and efficiently to emergencies/urgent issues.
  • Oversee and monitor any interior renovation related activities.
  • Determine project schedule and project plan specifications.
  • Coordinate and manage 3rd party contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with local government permits and licenses necessary for the project(s)
  • Ensure compliance with Lessor’s construction and house rules.
  • Provide regular status reports.
  • Develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans with the Director and
    VP of Corporate Services
  • Coordinate and collaborate with Quantrics’ Corporate Security team for control
    implementation and safety at any given project site.
  • Lead site facilities team.
  • Ad hoc tasks, as required.

Qualifications

  • You have a strong interpersonal skills and client relationship management.
  • You’re a college graduate in electrical or mechanical or above.
  • You have 5 years related experience in the field. You are flexible to work autonomously in a start-up environment, where constant change abounds.
  • You have the ability to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
  • You have a strong multi-tasking, prioritization, and time management skills.
  • You have the ability to work in a 24/7 rotating shift environment.
