Overview

Facilities Technician 

 

Can you perform minor electrical maintenance? 

Can you manage to upkeep equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards?  

Are you a someone who can ensure that facilities are well maintained and conducting proactive maintenance? 

 

Your natural ability to fix things is an asset here at Quantrics! As the Facilities Technician, you will handle building and equipment maintenance based on a schedule or need, aid in testing building security systems, and manage general facility maintenance activities. You will also be responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks in one or more fields (e.g. electrical, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, etc.) as well as other tasks, as assigned. 

Responsibilities

You will have an opportunity to… 

  • Monitor day-to-day facility checks 
  • Conduct routine inspection and miscellaneous assessments regarding preventive maintenance, malfunctions, and needed repairs 
  • Coordinate with contractors or building administration regarding work-related concerns within the Facility 
  • Coordinate with the Corporate Security Department regarding Building Security and site emergency response (Employee Safety) 
  • Perform minor electrical maintenance including, but not limited to, replacement or repair of fixtures using the appropriate hand, power, and specialty tools  
  • Perform minor plumbing maintenance including, but not limited to, replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets or unclogging of drains 
  • Perform minor painting and carpentry work such as, but not limited to, paint touch-ups, as well as fitting or adjusting locks and handles 
  • Reconfigure, install, position, and re-mount modular office equipment (e.g. furniture, wall panels, work surfaces, storage bins, lighting, file cabinets, etc.) to accommodate user needs and maximize office space using various hand, power, and specialty tools, as well as dollies and carts 
  • Order parts and maintain required documents 
  • Be the point-person for facility and security policies and procedures  
  • Perform other work-related duties, as assigned

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and client relationship management 
  • College graduate or above required 
  • Basic understanding of electrical work, plumbing, and carpentry  
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply 
  • Candidate must possess at least a High school Degree 
  • Flexibility to work autonomously in a start-up environment, where constant change abounds 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment 
  • Strong multi-tasking, prioritization, and time management skills are essential 
  • Ability to work in a 24/7 rotating shift environment 
  • Ability to meet or exceed the company’s attendance and punctuality standards 
  • Must be able to work flexible hours 
  • Good Color vision, Hearing and Ability to push a minimum of 100 pounds (power cleaning appliances); ability to lift minimum 50 pounds (trash and supplies) 
  • Ability to climb ladders and step ladders 
  • Bending at the waist, sitting, kneeling, laying horizontally, climbing, walking, etc., as required by the task
