• Design, write, and optimize complex SQL queries to support data extraction, transformation, and reporting needs
• Evaluate existing SQL code for performance improvements and ensure scalability and efficiency
• Troubleshoot SQL scripts developed by other team members or upstream/downstream systems
• Maintain and support applications in SAS environments
• Troubleshoot and debug existing SAS programs; understand business logic and ensure code efficiency and integrity
• Modify or enhance SAS code based on project or user requirements
• Monitor and manage data integration processes and ensure successful data transfers across systems
• Troubleshoot code written by other people, including understanding the business logic implemented and ensuring the code is optimal
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and data analysis
• Utilize Jira or other ticketing systems to log, track, and resolve issues and enhancement requests
• Ensure timely updates and communication with stakeholders regarding issue status and resolution
• Generate reports, dashboards, or insights to support business needs
• Share technical expertise with the team and provide recommendations for best practices

COMPETENCIES

Core Competencies (Must-have Competencies)

• Experience with SAS or any ETL technologies (e.g. Informatica)
• Experience with SQL, including writing, troubleshooting, querying, evaluating, and optimizing codes
• Experience with Data Analysis and related tools
• Experience with any relational database such as MySQL, MS SQL, Oracle or Teradata
• Experience with scripting in Shell scripting, Bash, or Python
• Familiarity with Jira for ticketing

Complementary Competencies (Good-to-have Competencies)

• Experience with UNIX
• Proficient in MS Applications
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to prioritize, multitask and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, or any similar programs

Work Conditions

• Work from Home setup
• Amenable to work on a Night shift (8 PM-5 AM and 10 PM-7 AM)
• Amenable to work on a Flexible schedule (Monday-Friday and Wednesday-Sunday)
